LG 27UD58.BFB IPS technology 4K Monitor 27”

The LG27UD58-B monitor features an AH-IPS panel with 10-bit color depth support through dithering (8-bit + FRC) and it’s factory-calibrated to cover over 99% of the sRGB color space. The 4K Ultra HD resolution displayed on its 27-inch screen size results in a rich pixel density of 163 pixels per inch. Naturally, you will need to scale your interface by ~150% in order to enlarge items to readable size which will, in turn, decrease the screen real estate but increase visible details.

The IPS panel of the LG27UD58-B display also ensures the impeccable 178-degree viewing angles for comfortable viewing experience no matter the angle you’re looking at the screen. Additionally, the colors are accurate and consistent while the 5ms response time leaves no trailing of the fast moving objects across the desktop. The screen is flicker-free and has a blue light filter so that you can work, watch movies, or play video games for hours without straining your eyes. The monitor also has minimal backlight bleeding visible.

Performance

The LG27UD58-B IPS monitor offers a smooth gaming experience at 4K resolution due to the Dynamic Action Sync feature which ensures low input lag for responsive gameplay. In the fast-paced FPS games, there is minimal evident ghosting thanks to the quick 5ms response time speed while 4K resolution and rich colors of the IPS panel deliver an otherworldly image quality.

If you have an AMD FreeSync compatible graphics card, you can synchronize the refresh rate between the LG27UD58-B and the GPU thus gaining dynamic refresh rate and eliminating screen tearing and stuttering. The LG27UD58-B FreeSync range amounts to 40-60Hz when extended, though you can further increase it by the custom resolution utility.

Features

Once you install the On-Screen Control software, you will be able to adjust all of the LG27UD58-B features and OSD (On-Screen Display) settings in a desktop application. The Screen Split feature makes for effortless multitasking as you can divide the screen into different layouts and then assign applications to certain parts of the display.

You can also apply pre-calibrated picture presets to the image depending on what kind of activity you’re watching on the screen. Gaming profiles include two FPS, an RTS, and a custom mode while regular presets feature well-optimized settings for Photo, Cinema, Reader, Dark Room, and Color Weakness scenarios; You can assign these settings in the On-Screen Control menu, so that whenever you open a certain application, the corresponding picture preset will automatically apply itself.

Besides adjusting the common parameters in the OSD menu, you will be able to tweak the Black Stabilizer feature which increases the visibility in the dark scenes. Other customizations include 6-axis color adjustments, different color temperatures, sharpness, gamma, red, green, and blue color values, etc. You can also use the intuitive OSD joystick to tweak settings in the user-friendly menu.
